Discover the oyster city
Fouras-les-Bains is closely linked to oyster and mussel farming. In summer, on the Pointe de la Fumée, you will be able to observe the rows of collectors, who come to collect the precious oyster spat … Check with the tourist office for visits to the parks.
You can also go around the peninsula aboard the Scoubidou, the little tourist train of Fouras.

The beaches of Fouras-les-Bains
With its five beaches, the peninsula of Fouras-les-Bains extends its fine sand over 4 kilometers.
You can admire the island Madame from the beach of Esperance and enjoy the proximity of the city center by going to the Grande Plage also called West Beach.
The South Beach or Coque Beach, will allow you to have a little shade thanks to its “black locust trees”.
For sports activities, go to the North Beach, facing the Bay of Yves for wild games of Beach Volleyball !
Do you want to walk and enjoy fishing on foot ? Head to Fort Enet, on the beach of the Virgin with a view, in the distance, of Fort Boyard and its surrounding islands.
