I book

Built next to the cave where the Neanderthal women "Pierrette" was found, demonstrating that this group has rubbed shoulders with the Cro Magnon, our direct ancestors, Paléosite is the ideal place to find out more about these Neanderthals.

Paléosite, sponsored by specialists Yves Coppens and Bernard Vandermeersch is the most important prehistory site in the world.

A prehistoric visit for young and old alike

Life sized prehistoric animals, synthesis image films from the Big Bang up to Neanderthal man via the dinosaurs, it's a captivating exhibition that will make your visit fun and interactive.

The outer route presents life sized reconstructions of prehistoric scenes that were used as a backdrop for the film Ao, the last Neanderthal by Jacques Malaterre.

Discovery workshops

Many free activities are on offer from entertainers who will share their passion with you: catapult shooting, flint sculpting, making fire...

A day at Paléosite is a recipe for a successful family excursion!
