Port-des-Barques BeachBack to the list
Just 3km from the campsite, the Anses beach at Port-des-Barques has a dam retaining the water so that you can swim regardless of the tide. A car park means you can park close to the beach.
The Port-des-Barques beach has a dam holding seawater so you can swim all the time. The water quality remains good as each spring tide (coefficient over 70) brings the water over the dam.
The beach offers a beautiful view of Ile Madame and Ile d'Oléron and from the headland overlooking it, you can see Fort Boyard.
The beach and its café are ideal places for a relaxing afternoon with the family. Basking in the sun, swimming or even walking along the paths around the beach - it's up to you!
